Shooting from the surface, as snorkelers often must do, can present some problems. Since you're shooting down it's necessary to seperate your subject from the background. In this case I raised the contrast of the whale shark, which blended into the sea floor, by bumping the ISO setting on my Nikonos V up one stop. In other words, I doubled the ISO number from 50 to 100 thereby increasing the contrast and darkening the image. Questions?
